This policy outlines how Taxi Sure collects, uses, protects, and shares user data, ensuring compliance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements and Indian law.

1. Data Collection & Processing

We collect the following data points to provide and improve our ride-booking service:

• Personal Identifiers: Name, phone number, email address (collected upon account creation).
• Financial/Payment Info: Partial payment information (tokenized), transaction history. Full payment card details are NOT stored by us.
• Location Data: Precise Location (GPS) collected only when the app is in use or running in the foreground during an active trip, required for ride tracking and service delivery.
• Usage & Performance Data: App crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data to ensure app stability and fix bugs.
• Device Identifiers: Device ID for user security and fraud prevention.

2. Data Usage & Purpose

The collected data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

1. Service Operation: To connect users with drivers, calculate fares, and provide real-time location tracking for safety.
2. Safety & Security: To verify user/driver identities, monitor trips, and detect/prevent fraud.
3. Customer Support: To resolve technical issues, manage bookings, and respond to user queries.
4. Service Improvement: To analyze ride patterns, optimize vehicle allocation, and enhance app functionality.
5. Legal Compliance: To comply with regulatory obligations (e.g., sharing trip data with authorities upon legal request).

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure

We only share data with third parties when absolutely necessary for service delivery, safety, or legal compliance:

• Drivers/Service Providers: User name, pick-up/drop-off location, and contact number are shared with the assigned driver to facilitate the ride.
• Payment Processors: Tokenized payment data is shared with secure, compliant payment gateways to process transactions.
• Analytics Providers: Aggregated, non-personally identifiable usage data is shared with analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics) to monitor app performance.

Taxi Sure does NOT sell or rent user personal data to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Security Practices

We implement industry-standard security measures, including:

• Encryption of data both in transit (using SSL/TLS) and at rest.
• Regular security audits and access controls to internal databases.
• Data anonymization and aggregation where PII is not required for the specific purpose.

5. Data Retention & Deletion Policy

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined above. Upon account deletion, the following applies:

• Deletion Request: Users can request account deletion via the app settings or by contacting the Grievance Officer.
• Deletion Process: Most PII is purged or anonymized within 90 days of the request.
• Retention Exceptions: We may retain certain data (e.g., transaction records, security/fraud logs) for longer periods if required by Indian law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., ongoing legal claims).

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ('Terms') constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Taxi Sure governing your use of the mobile application and services.

Scope of Service

• Taxi Sure operates as a marketplace platform connecting users with independent third-party transport providers (Drivers). We do not provide transport services ourselves and are not an employer of the drivers.
• The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

User Obligations

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
• You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes.
• You are responsible for the payment of all fares, cancellation fees, waiting time charges, and tolls/taxes associated with your ride.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Taxi Sure, its affiliates, directors, and employees harmless from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising out of or in connection with your breach of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation by User

• Free Cancellation: You may cancel a booking without any charge within 5 minutes of confirming the ride, or if the driver has not yet been assigned/started the trip towards your pick-up location.
• Cancellation Fee: A cancellation fee (as specified in the app) will apply if you cancel the ride after the free cancellation period or if the driver has already arrived at the pick-up location.
• No-Show: If you fail to appear at the designated pick-up location within the stipulated waiting time (e.g., 5-10 minutes) after the driver's arrival, the ride will be canceled by the driver, and a no-show fee equivalent to the cancellation fee may be charged.

Refunds

1. Refunds, if applicable (e.g., in case of a service failure or erroneous charge), will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment source.
2. The amount of refund will be at the sole discretion of Taxi Sure based on the investigation of the specific incident.
